Boys Varsity Ice Hockey

Josh Vega ’00 will take over the reins for our Boys Varsity Hockey Team im the 19-20 seasom.  Josh is eager to don the green and gold and continue the long standing traditions of Brady hockey.

A graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in History and a minor in Psychology, Josh reflects on hockey as one of the centerpieces of his life.  He began playing at the age of three, participated in Concord travel hockey and AAA hockey in the Metro Boston Junior Hockey League.  After playing at Brady, he played Junior A hockey with the NH Junior Monarchs and NCAA Division III hockey at Neumann University where he received rookie of the week and rookie of the month awards and was named ECAC West goalie.

Josh began his coaching career as a high school student shadowing Rob Daly at Puckstoppers Goalie School and has coached current and future high school, AAA, prep school, and college athletes.  Coach Vega is not alone in arguing that the best coaches are goalies for they see all that goes on and know how to make adjustments and identify player strengths.

With a philosophy that stresses academics, hard work and respect, there is no question that Josh Vega will fit right back in to the Brady experience.  Welcome back, Coach Vega!
