Boys Varsity Hockey Game Summary - Brady vs Londonderry 12/21

Game 2 of the season was a good battle between the Giants and Lancers of Londonderry. The Giants ended the 1^st period down 1-0 but battled back in the 2^nd period when Nate Bowler intercepted a D to D pass for a short handed breakaway goal to tie the game at 1. The Lancers answered late in the period going up 2-1. The 3^rd period found the Giants short handed for a good portion of it and the Lancers capitalized getting 2 goals and winning the game 4-1. Matt Strickland had another solid performance in net making 32 saves.

Boys Varsity Hockey Game Summary – Brady vs Windham 12/10

The Brady Hockey Giants traveled to the Salem Ice Center yesterday and faced the Windham Jaguars for their final preseason scrimmage. The Giants started strong and controlled most of the 1st period however a 2 minute lapse late in the period cost them as Windham scored two quick goals. The Giants played a much better second period however where unable to find the net and the period ended 2-0. The Giants got an early power play opportunity in the third period and were able to immediately capitalize. Kevin Anderson buried the rebound with a good effort battling in traffic. Windham took a penalty with just over 2 min left in the game and the Giants went on the offensive. They pounded the net and got multiple opportunities to tie the game but couldn’t finish. In the end, the Brady Hockey Giants fell 2-1 to the Windham Jaguars.

Matt Strickland got the start in net and played a solid game. Other top performers were Nate Bowler, Kegan Vincent, Max Lamora and Steven Donelan. Overall, it was a solid effort and the team looks to start the season with a win on Wednesday night at TriTown when it counts for real. The Giants face Nashua South 8:10pm.

Boys Varsity Hockey Game Summary – Brady vs Central 12/6

The Giants took on Manchester Central for their 1^st full scrimmage of the year yesterday at TriTown Arena. It was a very competitive game with Brady being up 3-2 after two periods. However, the Giants found their stride in the 3^rd period and put up (4) unanswered goals sealing the preseason victory 7-2. Kegan Vincent led the way with (3) goals (1) assist. Nate Bowler also had a solid game with (2) goals and (2) assists. Other goal scorers were Max Lamora and Stephen Donelan. Both Matt Strickland and Nathaniel Pushee split duties in net with both allowing only one goal.

Brady Hockey Dover Jamboree Game Summaries

The boys hockey team took to the ice for their 1st preseason games yesterday at the Dover Jamboree. (1) 25min period was played against each of the following schools; St Thomas, Merrimack & Keene. Game summaries below:

Brady 2 St Thomas 0

Matt Strickland had a very strong game between the pipes and shutout the St Thomas Saints. Kegan Vincent and Steve Donelan with the goals.

Brady 0 Merrimack 1

Nathaniel Pushee had a solid outing in net allowing only 1 goal which came in the last minute of the game. Brady dominated most of the game but couldn’t finish their scoring opportunities. Overall, it was still a good team effort and something to build on.

Brady 1 Keene 2

Thomas Scott played the 3rd game and had some nice saves. Kevin Anderson’s bomb from the point was tipped by Kegan Vincent for the lone Brady goal which tied the game up midway through the period. Keene scored the game winner in the last minute with an odd man rush.
