According to her coach, Sarah has been a steady rock in the back line at center D all year. She has played consistently high minutes, and has been stellar against some of the best offensive threats in the league, especially standout last week in her game against Hillsboro Deering, continually pressuring and stopping their leading scorer. Tough OT Loss on Senior Night
Updated on 06/10/2022
Varsity Girls Soccer played under the lights for their Senior Night contest at Saint Anselm College Saturday night. Brady played with lots of emotion and passion, as we celebrated our two varsity seniors and captains Emily Santis and Alex Sacco. Brady came out early and Sophomore Abby Santis scored a pretty break away goal to get Brady on the board. Inter Lakes came back to score to tie the game at 1-1 which is how it stood for the rest of the regular time. OT was played at a pretty even deadlock, both teams playing well and passing strong, and defensively playing with lots of fight. Brady fell short in the end. Makenzie Wetherill played well in the net. Brady looks to bounce back as they travel to Monadnock for their final regular season game on Wednesday.
Rainy Day OT Tie
Updated on 06/10/2022
Brady Varsity played another strong OT game, playing with a no quit, give it your all mental the entire game. Brady got a result with the tie, which is always Coach Andrew's goal each game. Energy was high and efforts were strong. Passing was great in the first half, and defense shined in the second and OT helping to maintain the tie. Maddie Boyer with the goal for Brady and Mackenzie Wetherill played well in the net once again.

Updated on 06/10/2022
This week we are going to recognize more Fall Athletes as Athletes of the week for the previous weeks play, two from the Bass Fishing team and one from the Girls Varsity Soccer Team.
Our female athlete of the week is Maddie Boyer, a junior mid field on the varsity girls soccer team. She is an energizer bunny on the outside and shined this past week in both games, most recently scoring 2 girls and dishing out 2 assists in a significant 4-0 win on Saturday during Homecoming. Maddie has shown great grit, focus, and soccer passion this year according to her coach, and because of such she is recognized as our female athlete of the week for last week’s play.
Congrats Maddie!

Athlete of the Week 9/5-9/11
Updated on 06/10/2022
Each week the Athletic Department will receive nominations from coaches for a new weekly recognition we will call “Athlete of the Week”. One Female and one Male athlete will be chosen from the nominees. This award will recognize a male and female’s weekly accomplishment in their sport and many of the intangible qualities that set them apart from others.
The female Athlete of the Week for the week of 9/5-9/11 is Mackenzie Wetherill, a soccer player with a strong maturity, grace, and commitment to her team day in and day out. She has too been stellar in net so far this season, accumulating double digit saves in both of our games, making some incredible movements and showing great athleticism in the goal, most recently with her 18 saves in the last game. Her coaches speak of her ability to communicate, her efforts to support her teammates, and her focus on both her own goals and her team’s. Her efforts and energy are both much appreciated.
Girls Fall Short in a Comeback Effort 3-2 to Conant
Updated on 06/10/2022
Brady Varsity Girls Soccer came back strong in today's game after a slow first 7 minutes of play to tie the game 2-2 at half, but Conant scored a big second half goal to win the game. Girls worked hard defensively after Conant came swarming early to take a 2-0 lead, with Sam Will and Abby Santis leading the way. Maddie Boyer scored two goals, both in the first half, one off of Olivia Crainich and one from Gwen Tupman. Coach Mattarazzo said, "We came out very flat to start the game but showed good grit and determination to fight back and give ourselves a chance to win the game. We had some strong looks at net in the second half but couldn't capitalize. We now have to work to have short memories and regroup for Wednesday in another home game vs. Berlin." Brady is excited to get back on the field Wednesday and then again Friday.

A Plethora of Goals Leads to a 4-0 Victory
Updated on 06/10/2022
Brady Girls Varsity Soccer gets the final touches on their shots to score 4 goals and beat Monadnock 4-0. Brady came out with fire and high energy Saturday at NHTI for their Homecoming game. Girls played hard and really well together moving the ball and communicating up the field. They connected on some great passes and shots. Junior Maddie Boyer scored two goals and assisted on the other two goals, sophomore Abby Santis scored one goal, and Junior Gwen Tupman scored one goal. Coach Mattarazzo said "the girls played very well from start to finish. It was nice to have a full and healthy team and play together. It is nice to have options and bring players in off the bench to make a difference. It was a full team effort today and we played well all around". Junior Mackenzie Wetherill got the shut out in net. The girls look forward to the quick turnaround and second game against Conant at home on Monday, and take on the next half of the season with a plethora of home games.

Girls Fall Short in First Home Game of the Season
Updated on 06/10/2022
Two strong shots on net by Somersworth were the result of Brady Girls Varsity Soccer falling short 2-1 to Somersworth in their first home game of the season. Defensively Brady girls held them off consistently throughout the game. Brady fought hard in an even matchup, controlling the ball and getting some wonderful opportunitie at net. Dana Fahey, Gwen Tupman, and Maddie Boyer all attacked the net and shot consistently. From the defensive side, Alex Sacco and Emily Santis showed great leadership and strategies (both our senior captains) to maintain possessions and communicate consistently. Our lone goal was scored by Maddie Boyer on a beautiful shot. The girls fought through the final buzzer, with some high percentage shots coming in the final ten minutes of play. Brady looks to bounce back with a rematch at Somerworth next Tuesday. The turnaround is quick and the girls are excited!

Brady Girls Play Best Game to Date!
Updated on 06/10/2022
Girls Varsity Soccer played their best game of the season to date! Very strong games from our two center mid-fielders, Olivia Crainich and Misty Zaczyk, contributed to well rounded and precise passing and communication. Our lone goal was scored off of a Crainich free kick. Defensively Jane Bradley and Emma Bradley both contributed immensely with their versatility, and Abby and Emily Santis were solid in center back positions. Overall, Brady presented as a strong team and maintained the score with poise and hustle. Brady could not hold back Newports star player in the end and fell short against Newport, but looks to bounce back immediately tomorrow with their first home game of the season against Somersworth.

Brady Falls Short After Second Opportunities
Updated on 06/10/2022
Varsity Girls Soccer lost a tough fought game away against Derryfield 1-0 Tuesday. In an evenly matched game, both teams played well and with high energy. Brady showed great determination, competing defensively with strong poise and maturity. Mackenzie Wetherill was the backbone of the defense again making a few impressive saves in net especially in the second half. Emily Santis was a standout on defense today. Ashley Gearing, Emlee Sanuth, and Gwen Tupman showed great focus and drive in the open field and stood out on the offensive side and when attacking the ball. Brady overall had some strong opportunities to capitalize and tie the game but couldn't connect. The beauty of the week is that the girls have two more games to play. Next game takes the team to Newport High School on Friday. The girls are excited for another game to connect on some big goals and continue to get better!
Girls Varsity Soccer Fall Short At Inter Lakes

A Second OT Thriller!
Updated on 06/10/2022
In another OT game in just our third game of the season, Girl's Varsity soccer played the strongest second half of the season on Tuesday! Impressive play from Maddie Boyer, Olivia Crainich, and Abby Santis catalyst a huge surge. First half had some great key moments, although a few momentum shifts. A few highlights include a Crainich goal and some stellar defense from the back line (Sam Will, A Santis, Emily Santis and Sarah Doherty), clearing the ball and supporting Mackenzie Wetherill in net well. Energy was high, although being down 2-1 at half, and in the second half the team came out flying, scoring the game tying goal on a Crainich to A. Santis corner kick. In overtime, it was a huge team effort and everyone stepped up to compete, although falling short in the end 2-3 to Stevens. Coach Andrew said, "We started the game out well but had too many spurts where the momentum shifted back and forth throughout the first half. Once the second half rolled around the girls came out and played very well, connecting on strong passes and playing great defensively. We got the equalizer back late and gave up a tough goal in overtime. All in all, very proud of the way we fought back in the second half of the game." In the end, the Girl's are eager to finish the week of practice and take on a four game week next week!
Another Step in the Right Direction!
Updated on 06/10/2022
Girls Varsity soccer competed in their second game of the season traveling to Conant high school for a Friday game. Girls played the first half hard, slowly getting rolling as the game got going. A couple great shots by Misty and Dana. Some strong defensive play by Sarah, Emily, Sam, and Abby Santis. Second half came and the Green Giants brought a new surge of high energy and fight scoring early and making it a 2-1 until the very end. Overall Mackenzie Wetherill played great with 18 saves, Misty scored a great goal, and other players like Abby Scharpf, Gwen Tupman, and Emma Bradley played higher minutes and new positions to help as we were down a few players for the game. Coach Andrew said, "We came out a little slow in the first half but really came to play in the second half. The girls played very well today and they have nothing to hang their heads about. It was only our second game of the year due to scheduling issues but I am extremely proud of the girls thus far and excited for the rest of the season."
